Walk in Poetry: A Literary Tour of Iztok with Albena Todorova

Hardly anyone nowadays repeats a poem to themselves while walking to buy bread or taking the dog out. This year Nine Elephants once again partners with Read Sofia and Literary Routes and this time we invite you on a walk through the Iztok Neighbourhood, where Albena Todorova will select texts that fit into urban – and perhaps also our personal – landscapes and will show you her favourite local details. We will invent stories about them, look at the neighbourhood with new eyes, talk about its history through stories told in texts written for other times and places and ask ourselves whether they are really so different after all.
