Description
The encounter between the artist and the audience continues in the form of exposure of the production of the first or opening up his personal space over a period of time to others. The established interaction is: the artist is the leading active party, curious and fascinated, and the others, even introduced somehow into the process, are listening and learning, observing, rarely critical but often criticizing. This dyad in human relations is natural. It manifests itself even in our family relationships. It is not clear where the presumption that one person – the artist is the extrovert type, and how this affects the truthfulness of communication.
The situations in the laboratory space (gallery) are staged and could be modified if transferred to a neutral zone – in the public space, if the so-called fieldwork. When two or more bystanders spontaneously meet and their relationship becomes an inspiration for the artists, this happening teaches a natural redistribution of social roles and tasks according to qualities, knowledge, abilities and psychological types. Even if it is not possible to change the interaction between artist and audience entirely, an honest gesture can be made towards equalizing participation in a shared space. Local materials become metaphors of communication. For example, the specificity of the element Water reverses the natural disposition as the course of a river may change.
