“Recipes for the Future” by Elena Balabanska, Eleonora Edreva and Izabela Markova engaged young people from different educational institutions and social groups along the route of tram 10 – a real and symbolic link between diverse neighbourhoods and communities. It aims not just to bring together individual notions, but to create a collective recipe for a shared future.

The route starts from the Paradise Mall area – whose glossy office buildings, IT companies and corporate dreams symbolise the guiding narrative that technology rules the future. But with each successive stop, the tram leaves this “paradise” behind and sinks into a more colourful, more multi-layered Sofia. The tram passes universities, construction and culinary schools, and language schools. Each stop adds a new ingredient to the recipe for a future in which technological advancement is not the predominant flavor.

The results will be presented in the form of a zine (short book) and an event within the festival.
