The mission of Green Line Sofia is the creation of a green ring – an ecological, connected, bicycle and pedestrian belt in the city that unites the urban environment and connects people, neighborhoods, green spaces, sports, cultural and educational facilities. For Nine Elephants, Svetoslav Alexandrov, the architect and driving force behind Green Line, activists and neighborhood residents are transforming the spaces around the abandoned railroad tracks in the Gevgeliiskiy neighborhood.

This year, together with the Safe Point Foundation, we will also be reading stories by Alek Popov.

Not just because it’s entertaining, but because he knows how to capture the city’s pulse. In his texts, Sofia is not a backdrop, but a character – hysterical, surreal, tender, and absurd. In the stories we will present, the boundaries between reality and nightmare blur, and the panel-district neighborhoods become a stage for tragicomic passions, neuroses, and secret fantasies.”
