Green Ring Sofia is a project for a 30-kilometer pedestrian and bicycle route. The Message invites you to join in a small neighborhood celebration for the second year in a row to support the Green Ring’s cause of turning trails into recreational spaces.

The mission of Green Line Sofia is the creation of a green ring — an ecological, connected cycling and pedestrian belt in the city that integrates the urban environment and links people, neighborhoods, green spaces, sports, cultural, and educational sites.
For Nine Elephants, architect and driving force behind Green Line Sofia Svetoslav Alexandrov, along with activists and local residents, transform the areas around the abandoned railway tracks in the Gevgeliiski Neighbourhood.

This year together with Ubejna Tochka Foundation we аre also reading short stories by Alek Popov.
“Sofia tells us stories — it whispers them through the streets, shouts them from balconies, tosses them between the scraps of everyday life and dreams. We invite you to an unusual open-air literary reading, in one of the green spaces with hidden potential. We are reading Alek Popov — an author who is not afraid to get his hands dirty with reality and turn it into an absurd, dirty, funny, and completely recognizable dream. Not only because he is entertaining, but because he knows how to capture the pulse of the city. In his texts, Sofia is not a backdrop but a character — hysterical, surreal, tender, and absurd. In the stories we present the boundaries between reality and nightmare dissolve and the panel housing estates become a stage for tragicomic passions, neuroses, and secret fantasies.”
