My project will function as a stained glass monument standing permanently in one of the temporary frames of the Lovers’ Bridge advertisements. The memorial aims to pay tribute to the victims of COVID-19 and their bereaved families. And its location, a metaphor for the enduring pain of a time that has passed for the world.
Billy Mateeva is a graphic design and art inspired by everyday life. With an ironic eye for the sacred and confusing the extraordinary with the prosaic, she produces work with the sweet and sour taste familiar to her contemporaries.
