Watch your step is an idea for an intervention in the urban environment in the form of sculptural ceramic paving slabs where there is a lack of them. Walking around Sofia, it is impossible not to notice the many broken sidewalks, one of the long-standing issues in the capital. By transforming popular slogans such as “Repair the Repair” and “Unity makes strength” into tiles of ceramic and concrete, a collection of images can be created for functional and decorative purposes. The project wishes to show that art in the city can be critical and useful as well as beautiful. This approach allows the work to leave the gallery and enter everyday life, where the casual passerby becomes the audience.

As an experiment, two tiles have already been installed on ul. “Aksakov” 6 and ul. “Dobrudja” 8.
