Krasno Selo Market
“The Cart of Commons” is an urban intervention that uses a shopping cart as a mobile performance installation to explore non-monetary forms of exchange at the Krasno Selo Market. Through interviews and fieldwork, the project maps the informal communication, care, and exchanges that exist between people beneath the surface of commercial activity. The cart serves as a platform for collecting and sharing oral testimonies, exchanging objects and memories, and gathering soundscapes connected to the history of the market. The collected material is broadcast from the cart as a radio programme, acting as a connecting element between the surrounding shops and market stalls. In this way, the project also aims to activate the neighbourhood as a living, receptive medium. The cart itself is constructed by artist Kiril Karudov, whose craft gives physical form to the conceptual heart of the project.

Isul Kim is a sound artist and composer from New Zealand, based between Germany and the Netherlands. Her practice explores contextuality as a relational framework, working with found sound and radio technologies. Her work has been presented at the Sonic Acts, GMEA Albi, Sofia Underground, and Reeperbahn Festival.
Viktoria Nikolovais a singer, performer, and sound artist whose work combines theory and practice, focusing on mediation within performative processes. She works with sound and vocal improvisation in multidisciplinary contexts and has performed at the Holland Festival, Opera Forward Festival, Grachtenfestival, and Bachfest, among others.
Isul and Viktoria met at the Institute of Sonology in The Hague in 2023 and formed the duo Parent. Since then, they have developed projects exploring the potential of the operatic voice and power electronics within performance art, and created the radio programme A Case for Libretto for Radio WORM in Rotterdam.
Their diverse practices extend across sound installations and themes of human communication and labour, seeking nonlinear narratives and collective experiences that emerge between performative and everyday spaces. In Bulgaria, they have presented their work at the Sofia Underground Performance Art Festival, Sofia Experimental, and TAM in Veliko Tarnovo.
